Depicts a great folk art primitive style sheep dog scene with a dog finding a lost sheep in the woods during a snowstorm. It is monogrammed on the lower left with T. As shown in the close up photo. Excellent subject matter with a great look in a period frame with incredible detail. You can see individual snow flakes falling in the sky, its really remarkable. It appears to be oil on thin panel or board, not examined out of frame. A very unusual and excellent old 1800’s folk art piece. Condition : Painting is in great condition with some wear and scratches/loss to frame as described in condition details above. No noticeable major defects on the painting itself. Overall, a great condition painting for the age and could be hung and displayed as is. It measures total in frame at 18 1/4″ x 13 5/8″ with the painting itself at 14 5/8″ x 10″.
